Faster Than Light

Wow! I got this polish around Christmas and I have no excuses for how late this post is.

I have a gorgeous polish to show you from My Ten Friends.
The wonderful Mei-Lynn sent this gorgeous beauty to me. It is called Faster Than Light.

This polish has a clear base and is filled with giant neon lime (some people say yellow but they lean more to the green side for me) hexes, lots of gold and holo glitters. This polish is GORGEOUS. I decided to use two coats over China Glaze Too Yacht to Handle. And they look amazing together and I finished up with a coat of Gelous and then a coat of SV. If you want to see this polish over even more colors check out THIS post from xoxo, Jen.

Once again I am amazed by another MTF polish. All her creations are stunning. Make sure to snag your own! Most of the holiday collection is sold out but as of this post Faster Than Light is still in stock. You can buy My Ten Friend polishes at
And make sure to follow MTF on Facebook for updates on restocks, giveaways and new collections!

Dream Catcher

Super short post for you guys today. I am so tired with work that I haven't much time for motivation for nail art. I did this look a couple weeks ago when I got the CYO bundle Monster plates which are a total must if you dont have them by now.

I started out with a graident of MorganTaylor Lost in Paradise and Mint Chocolate Chip
On the middle finger I used a coat of Tough As Nails Lacquer Death. ( I heard she went out of business, if that is true I hope she comes back soon!)

Sorry this pic is small and somewhat blurry. On the gradient nails I used Mentality Scoundrel to stamp using BM407 and BM419.

Now this second pic looks a little better. For the brown nails I started with two coats of OPI Warm and Fozzie and then use Essie Penny Talk to stamp BM410

I really loved how this mani came out. Hopefully I will have time for more. Work is a little hard and I am pretty tired by the time I get home. But you can still expect short posts once a week on here and at least once a day over on my instagram @brittanymoody

I don't know if any of you ever heard of Once Upon a Polish but it was an amazing brand that sadly no longer exists, the only way to get it is in blog sales if you are lucky. And I was!!!! So far I have collected 4 and 3 from the coveted Little Mermaid collection. Today I have finally used Ursula. I have a soft spot for villians. Hahaha.

Ursula is a gorgeous glitter polish full of purple and black micro glitter, purple squares, black shards and hexes. I have heard complaints of curling glitter in this polish but I didn't experience that problem.

I started out with one coat of China Glaze Grape Juice and then added one coat of Ursula. Followed by a coat of OPI Matte Top Coat, because HELLO MATTE GLITTER!!!

Recently I bought the Bundle Monster CYO set of stamping plates. Best impulse buy EVER! This image is from plate BM401 and a matte white polish from Born Pretty Store.

Does anyone else own any of this brand? Do you miss it and wish it would come back? Yeah me too.

I Do Love Me Some Floral!

I did some wonderful nail art with a base of the of so gorgeous Soska from Chirality Black in the New Black Duo. You can check out my review of that collection right HERE.

So here you can see the final floral design that matched my rockin floral pencil skirt I wore the other day.

I started with a base of Soska. I used two coats.

I then used only a dotting tool to create some weird floral design. I did this mani a while ago and I have been really busy with my new job, so I cant remember the colors I used. I can tell you that the white dots are China Glaze Dandy Lyin Around.

So this is the left hand, Obviously.

And here we have my right hand. I havent done this type of floral in a really long time and it could just some practice. But I did get lots of compliments from my new coworkers.

What do you guys think? And have you tried Chirality's new duo, Black is the New Black? It is a must have and you can find it right HERE.

Chirality and the Twisted Twins

I have two badass new polishes from Chirality's Black is the new Black collection to show you tonight!

First up we have a super awesome black holo called Soska, which was created in collaboration with filmmakers Jen & Sylvia Soska.

They make some rad horror movies the most recent one I have seen is American Mary and it is streaming on Netflix. Here is a trailer:

But how can I not mention their three upcoming films: WWE's See No Evil 2, The ABCs of Death 2, and

XX (the first ever all-female directed horror anthology).

It is awesome and you need to check it out! You can also find the Twins on Facebook HERE

On to the polish!!
First lets check out Chirality's new labels!
I think they are very fun and make me think of the 80's. hahaha I dont know why. I think they look better and are easier to see but I do wish they were are transparent on the darker colors.

This is Soska.

This polish was inspired by the Soska Twins.
They make horror movies including the one I mentioned above as well as Dead Hooker in a Trunk.

For this polish I used two coats that covered incredibly well.

Next we have Counterintuitive. Be warned this polish is a little hard to work with but the pay off is soooooo worth it!
This polish is in a black jelly base. And it is full of gorgeous silver and blue holo giant circle glitters.
And it is full of blue and silver hex glitters.

The only problem I had with this polish was application. You cant just brush in on as easily as a holo. First I did a very thin coat trying not to pick up the bigger glitters. And then I fished out the gorgeous big circles and dabbed them on top. Add top coat and look how gorgeous it looks!!!

This collection will be available November 16 HERE on their bigcartel shop. As well as their LAST limited edition on 2013! It is called Snowblind and only 40 will be released!! So mark your calendars!
Love this collection! What about you guys? And have you ever seen a movie done by the Soska Sisters? If so which ones?

***These polishes were sent to me by the creator for my honest review***

Yay for the start of Movember!!!
Much like people sporting pink for breast cancer awareness. Growing out a awesome stashe will rasie awareness for men's health, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health. If you are in the dark about this cause or would like some more information click this link

This cause is important to me because one of the most amazing men I know, my grandpa, died of prostate cancer. He was an amazing man and I was sad to see him go but it makes me happy that he is no longer in pain. Whats more awesome is that my grandpa always rocked a badass mustache.
Him and I when I was super little obvioulsy.
And below are some older pictures of him and my grandma, sorry they may be a little blurry, they are old pics.

I miss him everyday and that is why I am doing a Movember mani in honor of my grandpa.

For this mani I started off with a base of Lucky 13 Lacquer Softening the Bad Things. It is a gorgeous polish with a light blue base and amazing gold glitters. This polish was limited edition but Lucky 13 has more amazing polish! You can check it out here! I then used Mentality Scoundrel for the stamping.

I was very lucky to have my friend Joanne surprise me with my first MoYou plate! Rebel Collection 01. Check out their site here.
So I used a different mustache on each nail.

What are your thoughts on Movember? Do you think it is a good way to support this cause?
I think it may be a fun way support something incredibly important.

A collection of stamps!

Lately I have been trying to use more of my stamping plates. So here are three looks I cam up with last week. :)

First up I have this gorgeous lace stamp from Bundle Monster plate BM323.
I started with a gorgeous base of China Glaze Keep Calm, Carry On such a gorgeous mint green.
I then used a matte white polish from BornPrettyStore for the stamp. It is honestly the only white stamping polish I use.

Next I have a gorgeous fall mani! I used Different Dimension PENNY! which you can find HERE. The leaf image I used is from plate BM04 using Essie Good As Gold. The whole Essie Metallic collection is amazing for stamping!
This mani is amazing for fall. I might do another variation of it soon!

And this last one if my favorite! This was my Halloween mani. I used Chirality Devil's Night. I still can not get enough of this polish. It is such a hidden gem that they made this year. A deep plum with an AMAZING blue shimmer! I might have to buy a full size once the funds roll in and if they still have it. *fingers crossed*. And if you want your own bottle, which lets face it you do just check out their Big Cartel store!
The stamp is from Bundle Monster plate BM13 using Matte White from the BornPrettyStore which you can find HERE.

I have been getting into stamping again lately and I will have some MoYou plates arriving soon so check back in a couple weeks for more fun!!!

Which stamped mani did you like best?
and be sure to follow me on instagram @brittanymoody for nail of the day posts.

Pahlish Coney Island Queen

I have an amazing collection to show all of you. You have probably all seen it but it was a huge lemming and now it is finally mine!!! And these are my first polishes from this brand!

So below we have a the gorgeous Coney Island Queen collection. A six piece collection based on lyrics and style of Lana Del Rey and man I love her! So I just had to have it!

"Because I'm crazy, baby I need you to come here and save me
I'm your little scarlet, starlet singing in the garden
Kiss me on my open mouth"

This polish is a gorgeous creamy sage green base with darker olive colored glitter and some glass fleck. It applies perfectly in two coats.

"But he headed out on Sunday
Said he'd come home Monday
I stayed up waiting, anticipating and pacing
But he was chasing papers
Caught up in the game
That was the last I heard."

This beauty is called Anticipating and Pacing. I really thought this would be my least favorite of the collection but has ended up being one of my favorites. It is a gorgeous shade of coral with gorgeous blue glitter. Look perfect in two coats!

"God I'm so crazy, baby, I'm sorry that I'm misbehaving
I'm your little harlot, starlet, Queen of Coney Island
Raising hell all over town
Sorry 'bout it"

Yet another beautiful creation. And these polishes really do fit perfectly with their names.
This is a rich champagne cream base full of golden shimmer. The golden flecks are so beautiful!
Two coats for full coverage.

"She gives them butterflies, bats her cartoon eyes
She laughs like god, her mind's like a diamond
Audio tune lies, she's still shining
Like lightning, ohh, like lightning"

I love Mind Like a Diamond. It is a creamy greige with shimmering charcoal and taupe microflakes. Fully opaque in two coats!

"Pick me up and take me like a vitamin
'Cause my body's sweet like sugar venom oh yeah
Baby love me cause I'm playing on the radio.
(How do you like me now?)"

Now this might not be my favorite because it is not a shade of pink I would normally where. It is a very bright creamy pink filled with bright berry pink glitters. As well as every other polish in the collection this also goes on extremely well!

Last but not least we have His Favorite Sundress.

"Open up a beer
And you say, Get over here
And play a video game.
I'm in his favorite sundress
Watching me get undressed
Take that body downtown"

His Favorite Sundress is a creamy sorbet orange color with orange glitter sprinkled through out.

Now I have to admit this was my least favorite of the group. Application was a little iffy, I had to use three coats to get full coverage and even then some nails did not have as much glitter as the others.

Over all this is an amazing collection and I am so happy I was able to buy it before it was taken off etsy. Not happy that I waited so long. That was a mistake. hahaha but worth the wait for sure.

Sorry I have been posting much on my blog. I started a new job that has kept me pretty busy. But I still paint my nails almost everyday and you can see them by following my instagram account @brittanymoody

Florals are such a good way to brighten up rainy days.

So the past week or so it has been starting to get really gross outside here in Washington. Rainy and grey. I know, I know so stereotypical of this state.

About a month or so ago my friend Missi sent me some gorgeous nail mail and these nail wraps or whatever they may be called were included.
They are called Dashing Diva Design FX, at least thats what it says on the package. And what a gorgeous floral design!!!
It comes with 34 in all different sizes.

I decided to accent  them with OPI DS Extravagance.
They were super simple to put on. Almost exactly like the Sally Hansen ones but like 10x better.

I love these and I have a ton left over since I just cut most of them in half.  I will be using them again in the future! Stay tuned!

My Ten Friends 'In Space No One Can Hear You Scre--'

I have some super awesome polishes to show you guys today! I have to admit that I had myself a little happy dance. My Ten Friends is one of my top favorite indie brands.

This collection is callled In Space No One Can Hear You Scre--
How crazy awesome is that!?

So first up we have Alien Blood. I think this one is my favorite.
It has a darker jelly base and amazing bright clean square glitter. It looks amazing. And completely opaque with two coats.

Now this polish has a warning that is may stain but I wore it for two days and it didnt stain at all.

Next up we have Galaxy of Terror. I dont really know the real idea behind this one but it makes me think of Event Horizon which is my favorite sci-fi horror OF ALL TIME!

'We don't need eyes where we're going'

Sorry. Off topic.

This gorgeous polish is in a really dark grey jelly base full of  different shapes and sizes of red, silver and holo glitters. Even shard glitter!

This polish covers perfectly with two coats and it goes on very smoothly.

And last but not least we have Vampire Planet.
This polish is soo fun.
I was watching Resident Evil today and this polish totally reminds me of the coagulated blood.

This polish is an amazing purple polish packed with micro silver glitter and black hexes.
Now this polish is pretty thick and you may choose to thin it out a little. So it was a little tricky to use, I only used one coats for this polish with a little bit of dabbing. This is the second favorite of the collection.

This collection will be available tomorrow Tuesday 10/15/13 at 10:10am PDT.
You can buy even more of My Ten Friends polish at
and also make sure to follow My Ten Friends on Facebook for up to date info on restocks, new polishes, and giveaways.

Different Dimension Fall Collection Part 2

Now for part 2 of Different Dimension's fall collection. You can see my review of part one here

First up we have Cranfairy. Below is two coats and dont mind the smudge. Cranfairy is a power packed cranberry/raspberry jelly base exploding with tons of awesome!! All sort of gorgeous and different shapes of pink glitters. It is thick and coats like a dream. Only two coats for full coverage!

Now we have my second favorite of the collection, Mystified! This is a gorgeous glitter topper.
I layered it over Picture Polish Demeter.

The polish is filled with pink and brown and gorgeous caramel colored glitter.

And of course I just had to add a matte top coat!! I used OPI Matte Top Coat!
Now this next one is my least favorite. It is called Scarlet and Grey Remix. I think I liked the original better. You can see swatches here

This polish is a clear base filled with lots of red, grey and white glitters. I love the circles in this one but the original had giant hex glitter! And those are my favorite!
I layered two coats over Cult Nails Crusin' Nude.

Last but not least we have my FAVORITE of the season! Lucid Dreams is its' name!
And what a dream it is.

And the way Missi described it is perfect: "perfect nudeish glitter crelly".
And it is perfect. I used two coats for perfect coverage. I did add a thick coat of top coat though.

This polish is full of gorgeous shades of gold glitter in different shapes and sizes, all within a gorgeous crelly nude base. Awh I just love it so much!

So which ones are you thinking of picking up? Obviously I would recommend Lucid Dreams. Hahaha but you can check out all of these in the Different Dimension shop HERE. And make sure to follow Different Dimension on Facebook and you can follow Missi on instagram @missibarry.
