I Am Hopelessly Addicted to Nail Polish.

Today I have some gorgeous holos from Above the Curve!

The story behind Above the Curve is such an inspiring one.
Here is Angel's story
"When I was 12 I was diagnosed with a severe case of Scoliosis. I had a 72 degree curve and my spine was making my ribs twist into my heart and lungs. I had to have a rushed surgery to fuse my spine.
We were sent to Shriner's Hospitals for Children and they did my surgery for free!!     They saved my life!
Without them I wouldn't have met my wonderful husband and have my 3 beautiful children!
We have always wanted to repay them and help raise awareness and funds for Shriners Hospitals For Children as well as raise awareness for Scoliosis!
Hence the name Above The Curve
$1.00 of every bottle sold is donated to Shriner's Hospitals For Children."
First we have 'What No Buy?' Hahaha I love the theme of this collection because all of us polish addicts know what it feels like.
This polish is a gorgeous golden holo polish. It goes on so well and it was surprising how fast it dried!
Below is two coats of What No Buy? with no top coat.

Now we have the gorgeous Lemming Have It! It is a purple/blue holo with blue shimmer flecks mixed in for extra sparkle.
Below is two coats with no top coat.
I am so happy that it is sunny in Washington today. These polishes look so gorgeous in the sun.

Next up we have my favorite of the collection. This gorgeous rose colored holo is called Dusty Huntin'.
This polish is just SOOOOO gorgeous! It looks great on me. Haha sorry I had to say it.

And last but not least we have Husband Just Dont Understand.
This is a gorgeous teal-ish forest green.
It is very pretty in the sun. When I first got this polish I couldnt decide if it was blue or green but forest green pretty much describes it perfectly.

These polishes are available now on Above the Curve's Big Cartel Store HERE
Also make sure to follow them on Facebook HERE for awesome giveaways and updates on new collections and restocks. And lastly check them out on Instagram for even more fun @atcnailpolish

New Indie On the Block!

Tonight I have some gorgeous glitter top coats from a new indie brand. JK Customs.

First up we have Ice Queen. I put two layers of Ice Queen over Sally Hansen Black Out.
Ice Queen is full of lavender and teal glitter. It is a great formula and goes on very smoothly with the glitter spreading evenly on the nail. From looking at the bottle I didnt really think this would be one I would like but after put it on it became one of my favorites.

Next up we have Cupid's Eros. This polish is filled with all the shades of pink you could ask for. You have magenta, dark pink and light pink and all sizes of hexes!
As with Ice Queen this polish went on very well, it has a great formula and is easy to work with.
I used two layers over one coat of Sally Hansen Forbidden Fudge.

This one is really fun, it is called Tears of Gaia and I totally thought I wouldnt like it as much as I do. I normally hate the blue and orange color combo, but this one seemed to work.
It has orange and blue hexes and super tiny gold hexes. I layered it over Different Dimension Tubular.

So this last one is my least favorite. By looking at the bottle I thought this one would be my favorite. :/
This is called Beg For Mercy. I love that is has some bigger pinkish hexes. Beg For Mercy also includes micro lavender/blueish glitters. The glitter wasnt hard to get out of the bottle or anything but it didnt spread out very evenly. As you can see on my middle finger is kind of lumped together.
I used two thin coats over Lime Crime Lavendairy.

Jen doesnt have an etsy store up and running yet but you can go follow her on Facebook HERE. She will announce on her Facebook when the polishes will be available for sale & how many she has. People can comment on the pictures of the ones they want & Jennifer will invoice you. She is offering full size bottles and they are $8/ bottle with $2 shipping.
Make sure to go check out her polishes and show her some love!

I Seem to Remember You Like Purple

I have some gorgeous polishes to show you all this weekend!

Rebecca at Aphrodite Lacquers sent me some of her gorgeous polishes. I have three to show you right now. She sent me four but I haven't been able to get a very good picture of the forth one.

This first one is called Impulsive. It is part of the new Pink is the New Black collection.
I can not even tell you how happy I am that she sent me this one. After looking at pics of the whole collection this one is my favorite.

Impulsive is full of dark pink, purple and fuchsia glitter along with some holo glitter and big giant holo circles! I know that big hexes are my favorite but these big circles are coming in at a close second.

Both of these pictures are Impulsive over one coat of Color Club Wild at Heart.

She also sent me two more polishes from her Broken Heart collection of jellies.
She sent me a couple from the True Love and Heartbreak collection and you can see my review of those HERE. And I can tell you that I fell in love with Lonely Me, Lonely You, so when I saw she sent me two more I was freaking out!

First we have Love is Lost. It leans more to the blue side of purple and is filled with all different shapes and sizes of matte white glitters/ silver holo glitters/ blueish-purple iridescent glitters. These are seriously glitter/jelly sandwiches in a bottle!

Below is just two coats of Love is Lost but I think next time I will go with three coats.

And last but not least we have Forgotten Promises.
It is a bright purple jelly with the same types of glitter as Love Is Lost above.

I used 3 thin coats for both pictures below.

I love this shade of purple with my skin tone. It looks so amazing. These pictures seriously do not do it any justice.

Remember you can buy all of these polishes on Aphrodite's Etsy store HERE and follow her Facebook page HERE for up to date info on new collections, sales and other awesomeness!
