365 Days of Color, How I Met Your Mother

I have two amazing polishes from 365 Days of Color for you tonight!
So pay attention.

This is my first experence with 365 Days of Color and I have to admit that I am pretty damned impressed. These are well made polishes and insanely creative. I mean I never expected someone to make a collection based on How I Met Your Mother.

First up I have Marshmallow and Lilypad.
We all know they are the cutest couple ever.

And awesomely hilarious.

Below I used three coats of Marshmallow and Lilypad. It is a really pretty polish filled with green and pink glitters. It builds up so well and unlike some polish you can still see the glitter with each layer.

For the gradient accent nail I used China Glaze White on White and Morgan Taylor Mint Chocolate Chip.

Hahaha next we have Nobody Asked You, PATRICE!

Hahaha I love how creative these polishes are. She used the best phrases!

This polish is in a clear base filled with gorgeous pink, purple and silver glitters.
Below I used two coats over Barry M Prickly Pear.

And of course we know how amazing glitter looks when it is matted so I added a coat of OPI Matte Top Coat.

Be sure to check out the rest of the How I Met Your Mother collection and all of the other gorgeous polishes creations by Sunny over at her store right HERE.
And make sure to follow her on Facebook and her blog for all the up to date info on new collections, sales and other awesomeness.

Galaxy Nails!

Get ready for some awesomeness guys!

The Nailasaurus in all her awesomeness has made these super awesome 'White Space' nails. You can see them here

I loved them so much that I decided to try them out myself and this is what I came up with!

I started with a base of China Glaze White on White. After it was completely dry I used scotch tape to make the triangle at the tip.

I then painted off the taped area with China Glaze Highlight of my Summer. I then used China Glaze Too Yacht to Handle, You Drive Me Coconuts and Zoya Pippa.
I then ended it with a coat of China Glaze Wireless Holographic Top coat and then removed the tape.
I used a dotting tool to add the little stars and ended with a top coat of Sally Hansen Dries Instantly.

I think this is one of the best I have done! Like seriously!

The Lady Varnishes

Today I have a review of a 'new to me' indie. She goes by the name The Lady Varnishes.
I have 3 of her gorgeous polishes to show you!

First I open the package and all of the bottles are in cute little matching bags. And they have gorgeous charms on each one. They are so pretty and I can't believe she puts one on each bottle!

First up I have In the Sea. It is a gorgeous deep teal jelly filled with teeny tiny pieces of holographic glitter and different size white hex glitters. Below is two coats with a coat of my favorite top coat Sally Hansen Dries Instantly.

And then we have Mr. Rochester. It is a shimmery dark plum polish with a gorgeous silver shimmer and gorgeous holographic hex glitters! You only need two coats for full coverage!

And last but not least we have my favorite of the three. This unique beauty is called Electric Healing.
Just take a moment to ponder its beauty! Like gorgeous blue sapphires in muddy water. I love it so sooo much.

Electric Healing is a gorgeous chocolately brown with bright blue glitter including GIANT CIRCLES which is my second favorite giant glitter. This polish went on like magic. I did have to use the dabbing method to get some of the giant circles on each nail but it was totally worth the extra effort.

You can get all these polishes and more in The Lady Varnishes etsy store right HERE and check her out on Facebook right HERE for all updates about  new polishes, sales and giveaways!
Go now and show some love!

Moneta and Some Neon Nails

So last night I went out to see my friends band Moneta. They are pretty fucking rad. Just check out their amazing new video!

Seriously click the link and watch the video. It is totally worth it.
I dont know why it wont let me embed it.

Check out their facebook page for updates on shows and new music.

Seriously, watch the video!

So of course I needed to pick an outfit which means I needed nails to match!

I started with a base of China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle. Then I used a crap load of striping tape. Like sooooooo much. And added a layer of China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy and then peeled off the tape quickly after. If you need a tutorial HERE is an awesome one from The Nailasaurus.

I then added Mentality Scoundrel to the top and bottom with EVEN MORE striping tape!
Here is a pic so you can see the top I was wearing.

And here is the completed mani. Although it was extremely time consuming I loved the outcome and the colors went perfect together!

Here is a bonus pic of me and my friends!
Yeah I know it is blurry. Get over it. :)

STUDS!!!!!!!!!!

I recently got some studs from the BornPrettyStore. I kept seeing them in nail art and I just had to try some. I got squares and circles and right before I checked out I saw these AMAZING HEXAGON STUDS. And if you have read anything from my blog you know I love giant hexes.

This was the smallest size they have and I think they look a little too big on my teeny nails but nail friends have assured me that they look awesome.

I started out with a base coat of China Glaze Tart-y for the Party and Fancy Pants. While the top coat was still wet I individually placed the hex studs at the bottom of the nail. These studs are available HERE

Now this second mani might look a little familiar because it is from my previous Untried Polish Challenge post! I didnt think I would ever use any sort of gold studs but now I am really glad I got them.

For this mani I used China Glaze Sun of a Peach and Your Drive Me Coconuts. And then I added the gold studs to finish off the look and make it look much more polished! I also got these ones at the BornPrettyStore and HERE is a link to them.

Look forward to more posts with studs!!!!!!!!!

Untried Polish Challenge Day 8 Newest

Ok so tonight's post is gonna be super short because I only have about 10 minutes.
I am half way through the Untried Polish Challenge and todays challenge was to use your 'newest' untrieds

I decided to go with a base of China Glaze Sun of a Peach and the used two little pieces of tape to create the triangle and used China Glaze You Drive Me Coconuts, peeled off the tape and sealed it with a coat of Sally Hansen Dries Instantly.
It is so bright and summery!! I love the combo of the two colors.

Untried Polish Challenge Day 7 Oldest

I am on Day 7 of the untried polish challenge!!
Day 7 is the using your 'oldest' untried. I did get most of my untrieds at the same time but if all of you nail polishes remember all the Zoya minis that came out a few months ago? I bought all of them. hahahha.

I decided to use Zoya Neely and Lo. When do pink and green not go together? I started by painting all my nails with Neely. The application was a little streaky and took a few coats. Then on every other finger I applied some striping tape and added one coat of Lo.

I recently got a bunch of studs from the bornprettystore so I added the tiny little squares on the nails with the stripes. I really loved this mani! Ended up leaving it on for a few days.

Untried Polish Challenge Day 5 and 6

It is time again for the Untried Polish Challenge.
I know I am a little behind in posting so I have combined Day 5 and Day 6, Warm and Cool

So I did cheat a little and used the same base color for both manis although it was previously untried.
I started out with two coats of China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around I then added two coats of Different Dimension Comfortably Numb.

Comfortably Numb is a clear base packed with neon pink and bright yellow glitters. There are both square and hex glitters of different sizes but it has my all time favorite!!!!!!! BIG HEXES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think perfectly fit the theme of 'warm' the colors screen SUMMER TIME. They are so bright and cherry I love them! I saw Cosmetic Sanctuary put this polish over China Glaze Sun of a Peach and it looked gorgeous so I might try that as well.

Next up we have Day 6 which was 'Cool'. So again I used China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around and then I did my first attempt at cutting chevron strips with craft scissors and scotch tape. My nails are so short I need smaller strips but it is really hard to cute them any smaller. :(

I used China Glaze Sunday Funday. It is a really gorgeous blue and the whole design made it look kind of like waves which fit even better with the 'cool' theme.

Overall I dont think I like this one very much. I think I need a lot more practice with cutting the tape and with the placement. But I love Comfortably Numb. Different Dimension has so many unique polishes of such a amazing quality and you can check out her store HERE

Untried Polish Challenge Day 4

Day 4 of the Untried Polish Challenge is Neutral.
And I have such a pretty one for you!

A lot of people dont like neutrals/browns/nudes because they think they are boring or dont go with their skin tone but there are like a million of them so just man up and try one out.

This is two coats of Chirarity Bromine. It is a GORGEOUS pinkish holo nude.
Bonus! It has an awesome story to go along with it! (stolen from Chirality's Big Cartel store description)
'She moved in closer to the mirror in her bathroom, checking under her eyes in her brief moment of being conceited, but she didn't care. It was her 35th birthday this Friday morning, and she had a growing list of things to do before her date tonight with Carl the chemist. He was the rich one. Tomorrow night is her date with Antoine the writer. He was the funny one. Both were equally handsome which she was excited about. She turned to look at tonight's dress she had laid out across the bed. It was a beautiful reddish-brown that clanged to her body tightly which was sure to turn heads. Can I play off wearing this dress two nights in a row, she wondered? Both dates were on opposite sides of the city. Who would know?'

I love the stories they come up with!
Below is also two coats. I wore this polish for a week before I took it off and it never chipped! And I didnt use a top coat either.

So gorgeous!
Make sure to take a look at Chirality's store on Etsy HERE and Big Cartel HERE
